Wedding Invitations

With just a month until my wedding, I am busy wrapping up all final details and making sure everything is exactly as I want it. I’m going to be sharing bits and pieces of my wedding here, and figured I would start with my favorite part (other than the groom)…my wedding invitations! I worked with Minted to create an invitation suite that fits my aesthetic, and is something I will keep for years to come. Minted was AWESOME to work with, and they made it a breeze to get my invitations ordered. I knew I wanted feminine, classic, and a touch of gold foil. Check them out! They have so many options and ideas.

I love the scroll detail that is carried through the entire suite. It was the perfect design element to tie all the pieces together. It is feminine and classic, and the rose gold foil really makes it stand out.

The Hebrew phrase on our invitation is one of my favorites. We having a Jewish wedding, and this is is recited during the ceremony. It means “I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine.”
I love the all white look, with a few pops of color. I normally love colors, but for my invitation, I wanted it to feel more classic and sophisticated. I chose the scroll typography heart for the stamp which complimented the rest of the invitation quite well.

I am SO happy with how they came out, and they have been very well received by my guests. Minted made the whole process easy, and fast. The invitation sets the tone for your wedding, and I am so excited with the first impression this made on my guests.

[A huge thank you to Minted who sponsored this post. All opinions expressed are my own.]

It’s been a minute since I’ve done these roundups, but earlier this week I came across an article that resonated with me and wanted to share (plus its a great way to get back into the flow of my weekly roundups!) The article was discussing the difference between being busy and productive. I’ve decided to stop telling myself “I’m so busy” and instead focus on prioritizing what needs to be done. The article, “how successful people work less, and get more done” takes about strategies that many successful individuals use to maximize their time and creativity. Spoiler alert, it has nothing to do with apps or assistants. I hope this week’s round up of noteworthy links provides some entertainment and inspiration!

FRIDAY. I hope you all had a great week and are able to relax and do something fun this weekend. Today’s free font download is Adobe’s newest creation, and has me and all my design friends totally geeking out. It pulls characteristics from Helvetica (a tried + true typeface, arguably one of the most popular of all time) and combines them with DIN (my current favorite font, legible, visually interesting and seemingly growing in popularity daily.) Designed by Adobe for their new Apple watches, this typeface is versatile and contains numerous weights, making it ideal for any design project large or small. Link to download is in this article, at the bottom. Have a great weekend!

Loving this art deco inspired font, Le Super Serif, that can be downloaded from here. Not only is the font a beautiful serif, it also comes with numerous ligatures that make this font have a little more personality. Enjoy!

Happy Friday aka weekend eve! I’m so excited for all the events I have this weekend (sneak peak: a fun photo shoot in the works happening Saturday!) and to have a few days to relax a little more. Hope you all have a great weekend!

Axis is a sans serif font that is great for headlines, posters or a small amount of text overlay. The free download only comes in the bold weight, but I love the width of the letters, and it’s legibility. Download Axis from here! Enjoy!

Happy Friday! Here’s a little end of the week motivation to push through until the weekend. Here’s hoping for some cooler temps this weekend around LA.

Prata is a nice serif font that comes in only one weight + style. But, it does have that killer ampersand. I am a big fan of ampersands with a little flair or personality, and will be adding this to my list of favorites!

After a temporary hiatus, Font Friday is back in full swing. Today’s font is inspired by cowboys, wild west signage and mostly, Frontierland at Disneyland. Enjoy!

Corki is a slim slab font that has southern charm and flair. The font comes in both upper + lower case, with four different weights/types. It also contains numerous glyphs that make for fun designs or posters. Enjoy, and don’t forget to read the licensing before using.

Happy Fourth of July! Enjoy some BBQ, fireworks and our freedom. Hope you all have a great three day weekend, with lots of outdoor time + picnics.

Alexis is a great slab font that is reminiscent of the western days. It is great for headlines, posters, or any large scale type. I would not recommend using it for body copy as it has such a LARGE personality and will be difficult to read. You can download Alexis from here. Enjoy!
