Get Productive

Every once in a while I come across an app that instantly gets integrated to my daily routine. Below are a few apps that keep me sane.
Yahoo Weather App
I always like to check the weather when I get up (not like there is much variation here in LA). The Yahoo! Weather app not only allows you to see weather by day or hour, it is also beautifully designed. Every city has gorgeous pictures that change depending on the time and weather.
Week Cal
I put everything in Week Cal. I love that it syncs both my Gmail calendar and my iCloud calendars. Not only that, there are so many customization options for each category, and different view options. I love being about to look at the entire month at a glance.
Todoist
I have been on a constant search for a good to do list app, and have tried numerous ones. I think I have finally found one that I like, Todoist. I like the ability to organize by project or due date, and that again, you can color coordinate for easier viewing. It is super easy to make sub-tasks and to schedule when you need to have it done by.
Google Drive
Google Drive is my everything. I use it for all of my blog ideas, freelance projects and many other elements of life. I like that I am able to access it from my phone or laptop, and that it has so many features. If you have a google  account, I highly recommend taking advantage of this feature.

Gift Tags

Last minute gift tags? Sure! I felt inspired by a pixel design on a bag I was given and decided to translate it to various gift tags for your presents. Take a look, and download below!

Sugar Skulls + Cupcakes

I have a serious love for cupcakes (gluten free, of course), and for Halloween. What better way to combine the two than with Sugar Skull Cupcake Toppers. I am a huge baby when it comes to scary things (think zombies, blood, monsters, bugs…yuck!) and prefer the cutesy, more fun Halloween elements (dressing up, candy, fun decorations.) Thats why I designed these colorful sugar skulls. They are festive, fun, happy and free to download below!

Supplies:
–Toothpicks
–Tape
–Thicker Paper
–Scissors
Printable Sugar Skulls (download here!)

They are super easy and quick to make (the skulls, that is. The cupcakes make take you a bit longer). Simply cut the skulls out around the light dotted line and fasten a toothpick to the back. Voila! Cupcake toppers.
Sugar Skulls Halloween
I chose black and white cupcake tins to compliment the pastel orange frosting and colorful shapes of the skulls.

To get the pastel orange frosting, we added tiny amounts of red and yellow until we found the shade we liked.

Enjoy these cupcake toppers and have a wonderful Halloween!

Special thanks to my roommate for her baking and frosting assistance!
