Last minute gift tags? Sure! I felt inspired by a pixel design on a bag I was given and decided to translate it to various gift tags for your presents. Take a look, and download below!

I don’t know about you, but when I get home from work, I look forward to watching the 25 days of Christmas on TV. Home Alone has been playing a lot lately (I’m not complaining!) and has one of my favorite movie lines of all time. Thank you Kevin McCallister, for inspiring today’s Font Friday.
Home Alone Type
I like this slab typeface that comes in a variety of weights. Josefin Slab has 5 weights, and italic options for each.  Any free font that has thin–bold and italic options is a win in my book. Enjoy and have a great weekend!

Target Holiday Finds

It seems like in the past year, Target has been putting out more and more well-designed products in great packaging. Anytime I go to Target, it is a minimum of a 45 minute excursion, even if I only need two things.  This year especially, their holiday collections have been very well curated and awesome. I applaud the creative team behind it! Take a look at my favorites below.
Target Holiday
1: Loving these antlers, and would totally leave them up well into January
2: I love the slight sheen these woodgrain plates have, adding another level of dimension
3: These adorable reindeer salt and pepper shakers look great, and can double as decor on your holiday table
4: I get a “Chronicles of Narnia” feel from these wine toppers, with three variations to choose from
5: The shaker, martini glass and napkins look great together, or as individual items to create a perfect drink
6: How awesome are these wine bottles?! No gift wrapping needed. Check out this wine created by Alexis Swanson Traina for Target

What about you? What are your Target holiday favorites??

Font Friday 3.7

Whew! Busy busy over here in design land, how about all of you? I can’t believe we are a little over two weeks away from the new year. I’ve been feeling especially feisty lately, and I keep coming back to this as my mantra. Enjoy!
Hustlin' Fox
This week’s Font Friday is Geomancy. It comes in both a thick (shown) and thin. It has a retro feel that works great for posters.

Festive Packaging Highlights

Festive Holiday Packaging
The holidays provide such a great opportunity for special, unique and seasonal packaging. I thought I’d take a minute to show some of my favorites. It seems that every year, holiday designs and special holiday edition items get better and better designed. Enjoy this year’s round up. Honorable Mention: Trader Joe’s. Um, hello, have you seen what they have been producing lately!? So colorful, eye catching and really well designed. They have also been experimenting with many different typography treatments, and though not all are my favorite, they are very visually interesting.

1: Starbucks. Because who doesn’t wait until Nov. 1 to get those red cups.
2: Mr. Boddington’s Holiday Soaps. They never disappoint with their colorful, illustrated packaging.
3: Method Soaps. Their packaging is awesome 365 days a year, and their holiday-inspired line is really just the sparkler on top.
4: Bath & Body Works. Different holiday scents inspire their candles, room fresheners and their packaging.
5: Winter Jack: Take me to the scene illustrated on the bottle!
6: Theo: Each illustration and color palette is so well done, and looks great as a cohesive group.

Tis the Season Font
Now that Thanksgiving is over, we are in full holiday mode, which means that it is perfectly acceptable to be listening to Christmas music 24/7. I am doing exactly that. Enjoy today’s font, Canter, and have a great weekend. I have some fun things planned, especially for my blog. Anyone doing festive things this weekend?

Favorite Foil Holiday Cards

I love the holiday season, and I have a major soft spot for stationery, so it was only natural that I put together [several] posts about my favorite cards of the year. Today’s round up is gold + silver foiled cards. There are so many beautiful, creative and well done cards that I would be here for DAYS showing you them all, but these are the ones that caught my eye [in this category]. Stay tuned for more cards as we get closer to the New Year!

Greetings from Seattle, and Happy Thanksgivingukkah (or day after Thanksgiving.) I’m so happy to be spending some time with my family in Seattle, and celebrating two special holidays! Hope you all have a great weekend!
Altast Font Friday
I love Altast Greeting, and think it works well on a card, or print. It is a very happy and welcoming script, and the thicks and thins are subtle, yet well done. Enjoy!

Font Friday 3.3

It has been a crazy week getting prepped for Thanksgiving and I am so excited for the weekend! I have lots of fun things planned so stop by next week and take a peak! Have a great weekend!
FR2S Font Friday
A different take  on Font Friday today, since this typeface has so many options. Sullivan is a great display type face that has three different choices: Regular, Beveled and Filled. All three are in the alphabet above! How will you use this font?

Font Friday 3.2

Friday is finally upon us! You all know how much I love this day of the week! Enjoy this positive reminder that things will all work out.
FR2S Font Friday
Adele (yes, it is called Adele) is a great thin san serif font that works well for headlines. It also has a lowercase option, which is always a bonus. I’m a big fan of this font, and big fan of this quote by Modest Mouse. Have a great weekend!
